Entry to this competition is open to all UK residents aged between 16 and 24 at the time of entry.
Employees and their immediate families of SSL Group or anyone professionally connected with the competition will not be permitted to enter the competition.
Submission of entries
Entries should be uploaded to durexhibit.co.uk as png files as specified in the design guidelines.
Prior to submission, all entrants must register on durexhibit.co.uk.
There is no entry fee.
There is no limit to the number of posters each individual may enter.
Entries may be submitted at any time after 1 October 2007 and before 14 January 2008. Work submitted after the closing date of 14 January 2008 will not be eligible for inclusion in the competition.
Durex accepts no responsibility for entries lost in transmission.
What you produce should be a visual piece that would reproduce effectively in print.
Submissions should be in the form of an A4 poster.
There are no restrictions on technique, materials or style.
Rights protected images, copyright designs (e.g. logos) or immediately recognisable brands (other than Durex) should not be used
Entrants are required to provide a brief (maximum 100 words) statement outlining the thinking behind their entry.
All entries must satisfy Advertising Standards Authority rules and be legal, decent, honest and truthful.(http://www.asa.org.uk/)
Obscene or offensive entries will not be accepted.
Entries will only be accepted and eligible to be put forward to the judging process if they meet the criteria as stated above.
Existing work completed by the entrant, that meets the brief, can be submitted as an entry.
Art submitted must not have already been displayed in a commercial environment including commercial galleries and must not be or have been submitted for other display or work commercially.
All entrants must opt in to be contacted by Durex if necessary and contact details must therefore be provided.
The closing date for the competition is 14 January 2008. Work will only be eligible if submission complies with the competition rules stated.
The winner and shortlisted runners-up will be announced on the Durexhibit website and notified by email. The decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Competition selection process
All entries, together with their rationale, will be displayed on the Durexhibit website.
During the first 30 days of their exhibition they will be judged by other visitors to the site on the basis of their likely effectiveness in achieving the objective of persuading young people not to take chances with unprotected sex.
In order to rate the entries, visitors to the site will be required to register.
Entries submitted after 24 December may not be available for judging for the full 30 days.
On 4 February 2008 a shortlist of the 20 entries achieving the highest average rating during the initial judging process will be posted on the Durexhibit website. Visitors to the site will then have a period of two weeks to vote to select the overall winner from this shortlist.
To be eligible for inclusion in the shortlist, an entry must have been rated by at least 30 people.
In the event of a tie, Durex reserve the right to make the final selection.
Winning work will become and shall remain the property of SSL Group Ltd. Full accreditation will be given to the winning entrant, and their college or university if applicable.
The winning poster will be publicised through a viral e-mail campaign
And may be used in a wider Durex campaign
Shortlisted runners up:
£100 of Durex products.
The posters will be featured in Durex Publicity and on the Durex website
In addition, the creators of the first 20 posters to be submitted will receive a Durex Pleasure Pack, as will the first 100 voters to recruit 10 others.
Winners will be notified of their success on the Durexhibit website and by e-mail and their details may be made available and published in PR materials.
All entrants agree that SSL Group Ltd will have the rights to publicise the details of the winners by name and location and age.
Subject to this, any personal information, including without limitation, address (including postcode) and/or email address will be used in connection with this competition and otherwise any personal information held by SSL International plc in respect of this competition will be held in accordance with SSL International plc’s privacy policy.

These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and the courts of England shall have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to this competition.
