hmm, reminds me of sumthing.......... very similar to other versions of mine, good but the text is too small

ChrisGreenwood

the difference is, your posters mr page were not as good as this one, he has obviously grasped the idea of quality and not quantity. i like this poster its a really nice image and the copy is nice. i think the image is a good cue for the text which brings the whole thing together! good'un

13th Nov 2007 11:38am

» robpemb (Robert Pemberton) responded:

(milespage) sorry you feel that way, was gutted myself to find that after a hard days work on this brief, you had the similar idea of using a cock. however i came to the decision that the message+humour+design within the two differ enough to allow me to submit this idea. people in my advertising group and my tutour can vouch for this as being my own idea, created on the thursday 8th Nov. you're right, the text is a little too small for this webpage but it's clearly legible on an A4 poster. It's deliberately small to attract curiosity. cheers

I like this design, simple and effective and some Humour , the white background is also good and so is the layout

JHyde

Clean, sharp, amusing.....nice cock!

13th Nov 2007 5:02pm

» robpemb (Robert Pemberton) responded:

yes, its a fine specimen

13th Nov 2007 5:57pm

lgower

It's simple, clear and very clever. It catches your eye and is memorable in a way that adverts very rarely are

13th Nov 2007 6:32pm

» robpemb (Robert Pemberton) responded:

thanks, the last thing i wanted to do was give another sex education lesson. we're all aware of how safe sex works

13th Nov 2007 6:59pm

iamcoolsaidcazii

i like this one! it's similar to past durex posters, simple and effective. and it's humorous too! very good :D

13th Nov 2007 7:27pm

godscock

by far the best one on this darn thing. brought a tear to my cock.

13th Nov 2007 9:59pm

» robpemb (Robert Pemberton) responded:

cheers mr green. nice to get a comment from somebody who knows their ads

dylanpoos (Dylan Hughes)

man i wish this poster was around before i caught the clap :(

14th Nov 2007 2:46am

nagyzreka

At least this one is original! I don't even remember another poster with this animal on it - meaning this is more impressing.

14th Nov 2007 9:30am

Dreamcatcher366

i like this idea because it is very simple, but effective. The main image stands out against the white background.

14th Nov 2007 10:34am

» robpemb (Robert Pemberton) responded:

really appreciate everybody's comments. thanks

Great idea! Simple and to the point

14th Nov 2007 10:13pm

dannyh

clear message

14th Nov 2007 10:16pm

big_pappa_bear_dave

This is the best one on the site in my opinion, simple, eye catching image and the small text intrigues the viewer. A humorous approach to a serious issue done well.

15th Nov 2007 4:43pm

david21

fantastic use of negative space, clean crisp imagery combined with subtle text, good little ad!

15th Nov 2007 9:46pm

x_c_rob_x

it does attract.. and i can see it easily fitting into a magazine.. but does it say a lot.? do durex want a serious message? because this one does this subtly but not enough.. excellent concept though

16th Nov 2007 12:28pm

ipod_music

well done

16th Nov 2007 1:01pm

Nic255

It's just so good :)

i know what this reminds me of....scotch whiskey....the famous grouse advert. Do do do do dodo dodo its very good though...not the whiskey the advert =]

19th Nov 2007 2:23pm

» robpemb (Robert Pemberton) responded:

yeh thats the one, there's that grouse bird thing plodding around on a white background. somebody else had said that too but they couldnt remember what brand it was. thanks for comments

19th Nov 2007 3:18pm

DezRamone

A good poster but i think that the slogan should be above the picture and not below.

20th Nov 2007 10:34am

Esmith (Emma Smith)

with what the text says, it would work better above the image... nice tho

20th Nov 2007 9:26pm

Dizzypink

Love it

21st Nov 2007 10:19am

georgejosephharvey

clear and witty, good stuff. unsure about the dots below strong. unsure it's needed. Great stuff though.

21st Nov 2007 3:21pm

chatera

maybe could work if you erased the dots and moved the phrase above. but you must realise that these are very small points.. cos this is very well executed..

21st Nov 2007 4:55pm

glen

gets a yes from me!

21st Nov 2007 5:14pm

Domhan

Effective and striking. Reminds me of the Absolut vodka campaigns for some reason.

21st Nov 2007 9:47pm

» robpemb (Robert Pemberton) responded:

i see where youre coming fomr with the text abouve the image comments but i originally had it with the text above the image and it just did not work as well as having the text below. thanks for the comments

23rd Nov 2007 9:24am

Posterman

simple and clear. i dont know why tho but it wouldnt make me think twice about using a condom

23rd Nov 2007 9:42pm

» robpemb (Robert Pemberton) responded:

maybe you would like to maintain having "a big, strong, healthy, ...." ? thats assuming you already have one of course. heh, just kidding, cheers for the feedback.

23rd Nov 2007 11:56pm

bubaganoush

text is too small and its too simple

25th Nov 2007 7:27pm

fatefalls

i hope you win. this is my favourite.

26th Nov 2007 5:21pm

Splodge

Yes it's funny but the task is to stop people having unprotected sex! Amusing though!

26th Nov 2007 6:03pm

» robpemb (Robert Pemberton) responded:

though it is subtle, i do believe there is a clear safe sex message in it. untill samuel uploaded his "i heart ..." series i didnt think anybody would successfully produce a 'good' poster in which the safe sex message was so blatant. he done good.

26th Nov 2007 7:23pm

ryan87

still outstanding

28th Nov 2007 11:43am

johnsatriani

The idea does not fulfill the criteria of the brief! It's a lovely piece of work, but not very apropriate for the campaign.

30th Nov 2007 10:45am

» robpemb (Robert Pemberton) responded:

i see your reasoning but essentially, the brief is to encourage condom use. it's just a different approach to the scare tactics that most people are using.

30th Nov 2007 12:45pm

smithyj

quality!

30th Nov 2007 9:57pm

GGG

scare tactics or subtle humor? hmmm.. im undecided. in honest opinion this one doesnt want to make me wear a condom but it did make me laugh. so do durex want memorable or do they want to make a change? that is for them i suppose. for me? im split right down the middle. oh and for the record. i laughed continuosly :)

3rd Dec 2007 5:44pm

fresh_out_the_box

i admire your creativity and humorous side. i dont however think this is going to make people think. it only serves to make people laugh. i work in advertising and have showed many of my colleagues this and yes they laughed but they thought it wasnt persuasive enough for a huge, multinational brand like durex.

3rd Dec 2007 5:48pm

Posters_Make_Money

well i love it and id slap one on cos of this. well done my friend!
