My aim was to create a poster which combines a serious message with humour to appeal to a young audience.
The strap line, 'At it like rabbits' is aimed directly at target audience who, like the rabbits in the poster, should really take their sexual health more seriously.
The humourous nature of the poster will hopefully make the serious message more memorable.
rabbits convey sex so well!

this poster is effective and i like the clear text and open not overcrowded space that gets the message across. nich characters, draws you in to look then u realise its for safe sex. well done..
31st Oct 2007 3:28pm
this is a proper job. rubber up you dirty filthy guilty rabbits. absolutely bosting! :-D
31st Oct 2007 3:40pm
Never before in the history of time have so many rabbits looked so guilt ridden and shamed. Thats how I would feel too if I wasnt protected. Plus the rest of Europe is doing much better than us. I'll always make sure I carry a sheath.
31st Oct 2007 4:00pm
the picture is eye-catching and the message is memorable without being condescending or depressing
31st Oct 2007 5:36pm
Winner!
31st Oct 2007 5:59pm
its as if it were drawn by the hand of a saint
31st Oct 2007 7:01pm
I love this poster. Beautifully illustrated by miss foster. Pleasing to look at and the humour in the reference to rabbits screwing will carry the message of safe sex longer than a poster you'd see in doctors surgery's nationwide. Top notch.
31st Oct 2007 7:42pm
rabbits are always at it!!
31st Oct 2007 7:55pm
Very informative with good humour which I believe will appeal to people my age. Well thought out.
31st Oct 2007 9:00pm
no mention of the fact that wearing a condom can save your life, surely a main reason for using one!! sweet rabbits tho, although they would be better suited to a kiddies birthday card in clintons.
31st Oct 2007 9:25pm
Totally agree with Bob, it is the perfect balance between humour and a clear and serious message. Very eye catching, you're drawn in by it because of its bold sex related phrase, you read on and the point is conveyed perfectly. Excellent entry, by far the best here. VOTE THIS TO WIN.

I like the art work although the sentence isn't very good, shouldn't it say "The UK has a higher teen pregnancy rate than any other country"?
1st Nov 2007 9:20am
This is the most eye-catching entry. I would stop and look at this if I saw it in the street or pub toilet. It delivers a firm message with an edge of humour, Excellent!
1st Nov 2007 10:34am
because it instantly grabs your attention with art that is funny and the headline is striking. this kind of poster makes you message serious but fun. it has life to it.
1st Nov 2007 1:28pm
The best here by far. I'd like to see this idea pushed further. An animation backed by Yellowman's hit reggae song 'Aids' would be amazing.
1st Nov 2007 2:06pm
This is by far the best poster here, The message is clear and to the point and the rabbits are extremely well drawn. Clearly the most well thought out poster. Nice 1 us aussies could never come up with anything that creative.
2nd Nov 2007 12:30am
it is playful and makes the issue more talkaboutable rather than using scare tactics which can sometimes make an issue less apporoachable.
2nd Nov 2007 11:06am
Its attractive and will draw peoples attention, the expressions of the rabbits add to the message
2nd Nov 2007 11:47am
Being a great believer in safe sex, and no sex before 4 year marriage, i avidly watch durex campaigns, i can say this work is very good, i like the way the rabbits appear multi ethnic too, as this affects everyone. the attractive fellow at the back looks very much like yours truly! maybe durex could work on a recyclable rubber now? that would be nifty. thanks for listening.
2nd Nov 2007 1:20pm
wicked drawings, comedy expressions - gets message accross
2nd Nov 2007 5:42pm
age group of 16 - 24, i guess everyone has an age of around 5 when it comes to condoms, looks like it should be aimed at school children, good poster, not the right age range!
2nd Nov 2007 6:37pm
too jokey for a serious message
2nd Nov 2007 7:55pm
It makes you realise that the attitude and lifestyle in england is obviously more extreme than in other places, and poses a simple solution; the use of condoms all with wit and eye catching illustrations
2nd Nov 2007 9:20pm
why would you have such a childish illustration on a poster aimed at teens and twenties? It is a good idea and a nice illustration though.
3rd Nov 2007 12:14am
thought provoking but with humour - a winning combination. Love it.
3rd Nov 2007 1:24pm
Definately the best, clear and effective message, great illustration. Love it! This should be the winner, by far
3rd Nov 2007 6:19pm
amazing illustration but the graphic design of the poster lets it down.
4th Nov 2007 9:43am
The rabbits are well done, indeed, but for some reason the poster has no huge effect on me. Sorry.
4th Nov 2007 11:37am
nice illustration, but i think the layout needs work. overall good.
5th Nov 2007 12:05pm
Interesting
5th Nov 2007 12:42pm
This is by far the most attractive poster i have seen on here. saying that i feel the message isnt very definate and it doesnt give a strong message to make a difference. But the poster is well designed, albeit in a comical sense. i guess it all depends on what the judges go for.. serious or humour?
5th Nov 2007 1:43pm
Look at all the cute little rabbits! It's interesting, eye catching and attractive. It's more friendly and appeals to young people.
5th Nov 2007 3:13pm
Alrite...
6th Nov 2007 11:34am
I really like this.. I like the text and the message that it sends out. Very well done!!
6th Nov 2007 11:40am
way to basic, not enough going on.... you need to add more to it, make the fact about teenage pregnancies more bigger and outstanding mate, good effort though, i do like the tagline
6th Nov 2007 11:46am
i like rabbits and i like sex a good poster
6th Nov 2007 11:47am
very, very nice illustration, perhaps however the rabbits look a bit too childish? I certainly think this and the wheel of fortune poster are the best two however. Falmouth seems like a good uni!
6th Nov 2007 12:20pm
The impact would be greatly improved with stronger typography.
6th Nov 2007 10:30pm
more illustration!! like the idea, needs the typography sorting out and spell checked though!
7th Nov 2007 9:39am
Like the style of the drawings, and the rabbits, but the top is a bit too white, maybe make the text bigger?
7th Nov 2007 10:07am
It's a pretty picture, but the type hass mistakes, but why are the rabbits sad? Also the rabbits look like their out of a kids book, you young is the younger audience you're targeting?
7th Nov 2007 12:05pm
Brilliant! Rabbits!
7th Nov 2007 4:20pm
MINT!
8th Nov 2007 11:22am
nice drawing, not so good points, its a really good idea in there, just need some more work
8th Nov 2007 6:49pm
doesnt explain anything
9th Nov 2007 2:33pm
you have spelt rabitts wrong?
9th Nov 2007 3:05pm
doesnt tell me anything. perhaps keep the drawings for a kids book or something
11th Nov 2007 5:41pm
ha ha.. i like poster. well good
11th Nov 2007 5:52pm
they are some ugly looking rabbits, i wouldnt waste a condom on them
11th Nov 2007 6:31pm
hmmm.. not very creative
11th Nov 2007 6:50pm
tagline is gd n funny aswell. wud appeal to a young audience
12th Nov 2007 2:38pm
i think this is brilliant. i really like the reference to rabbits and it would definately make me think
12th Nov 2007 9:11pm
very clinic wall, follows a very similar style to whats out there with diffrent companies in the sexual health industry, executed very nicly with lovely illustration, title looks great but the fonts what doesnt look right to me.But it is very clear.
13th Nov 2007 12:36am
funny and a great use of a common phrase, but bad grammar and a slightly lecturing tone unfortunately drags it down
13th Nov 2007 7:18pm
attractive poster. your drawings are brilliant. the tone is perhaps a little harsh, and this may encourage teens to rebel, as it seems as if a mum or teacher are telling them off. the use of font needs to be changed also, but apart from that i can see why you rated so high. well done
13th Nov 2007 9:37pm
it is refreshing how sophie used the quirky humour to catch attention and its aesthetically very pleasing. the best up to now i think !
15th Nov 2007 12:37am
simplistic.. have not used enough space to constitute it being a poster.. i like the drawings though and it does make me stop and look.. the tone is perhaps a little 'teachery' but on the whole a 'probably' from me
16th Nov 2007 1:05pm
I love the facial expressions of the rabbits- they look like they've all been at it ;) The drawing is immense and the writting is pretty cool too.
16th Nov 2007 1:32pm
too much copy to read... like the image tho
20th Nov 2007 9:24pm
fun illustration! makes me smile
21st Nov 2007 1:58pm
a nice perspective on things- refreshing for this competition.
21st Nov 2007 4:48pm
great illustration. think the middle text could be better positioned, i.e. centralised. but still, one of the top dogs.
21st Nov 2007 10:49pm
I love this poster, i like the illustration and the humour of it :)...x
23rd Nov 2007 9:21am
really good poster! however, the text lets it down, Uk needs a capital K..also the sentence doesn't read very well, think it needs rewording, also what do the "..." at the end mean?? surely it should just be a full stop!? the angle of the text is bit strange too, might work better being centred and level!? i love the wabbits tho!
25th Nov 2007 6:11pm
OMG I saw u designing this in fox 2 the other day! haha! go 4 it!
29th Nov 2007 1:39pm
Bob
This poster has completely raised the bar.It is by far the stongest entry to date. The rabbits are wonderfully imagined and rendered with skill and precision. The element of humour is perfectly balanced against the seriousness of the message. Although simple, the design is eye catching and, unlike most of the other entries, you can clearly see what it's about. Vote for this to win.Now.
