Description:

I felt the message had to be to the point as it's confronting a serious issue. It gives a healthy and sensible solution to the problem, informing and empowering the audience into making the correct decision.

Using the text to build up the imagery visually reinforces my concept in a clear and direct way. The condom shape protects the overall message from the list of Sexually related diseases surrounding.

Simplicity of design is very visually effective and works well with the clear and straightforward approach to the copy.

this poster reflects the work of David Carson, the multiple text background puts the message in the viewers face. catchy slogan, defanetly a winner! really like it!

JackSingleton01

It doesnt beat around the bush, it gets straight to the point, also cleverly constructed with the subtle condom shape around the text.

looks like you got lots of your friends to vote. Either that or they are mad. This should definitely not get shortlisted. End.

11th Jan 2008 6:07pm

alohabonjour

You have to be kidding me!? why is this number 1?!!!!!! Why are people saying its "clever" and "simple"?! it's neither of those! is simple defined by trying to cram as many STIs into a small space? no. Not clever! there is nothing "clever" about it. its a reused old strap line. It's not even creative! is this a take the piss?

11th Jan 2008 6:11pm

smithyj

unfortunately because you've got all your mates to vote it 'yes', i imagen non-friend votes will be unkind

11th Jan 2008 6:43pm

» Singy responded:

Thanks for everyones comments but in response to alohabonjour... i chose to use a range of STD's because it highlights many possible risks of unprotected sex instead of focusing on one as that may have been misconstrued and implied other diseases are less important, the page was filled to emphasize the many risks. However if you think its crammed fair point, its your opinion. As for "an old reused strap line" i have never seen an ad using this strap EVER before.

Samuel (Samuel Michael)

This doesn't work for me i'm afraid, i see no strong clear message. share what, a condom? why would i do that? is this really a problem?

12th Jan 2008 6:43pm

Dixy

This is an effective way to get the word out to people, this deserves recognition

13th Jan 2008 10:50am

» Singy responded:

fair point slightly pedantic as the condom is surrounded by STI's and there's none inside!!! see what you mean tho

13th Jan 2008 1:52pm

jamieroper

It leaves you thinking about what you would be sharing, obviously an STI but the slogon stays with you. I like it.

13th Jan 2008 3:43pm

tom_West1

personally i think the design is quite busy, i agree with the comments about the text ect but the backgroud turns me off the as a whole. maybe if that got changed?

13th Jan 2008 3:53pm
