The message, one of your five-a-day portion, is double, people can perceive it differently. Either association to healthy lifestyle, meaning five portions of fruit every day, or sexual life associations. No need to explain more, right?
Would it make people my age think twice before risking unprotected sex? If they read between the lines - then yes!
I hope you will like it - or at least comment on it! I would appreciate your comments!
Thank you for your time.
time for the condom to be user-friendly

I think its great. Good work there

the colours are attractive but it's a little too light hearted to make you not want to have unprotected sex

I was trying to avoid the tipical (traditional?) approach, meaning the one that scares you a lot and stresses you to use condoms. The focus here is rather on the fact that using condoms is fun and enjoyable - everyone knows the consequences of not using one.

good idea, but looks very cut and paste, each image is in a lil box, and why the one grey condom?
31st Oct 2007 8:21am
I was using the same strawberry-banana-orange pictures, to create some sort of continuity. The one 'grey' condom is standing for the orange flavour - I admit it's not exactly orange, but it's not grey either. Thank you for your comment!

Given the govenment's concerns about a nation of obese chip eaters needing to eat five fruit and veg a day, I don't think it would be helpful to encourage people to go around eating condoms. I kind of see what you're getting at but the message is confusing and not hard-hitting.

It's focus is just on novelty condoms being fun. This wouldn't make me think about the dangers of unprotected sex or promote condom use everyday.
1st Nov 2007 4:23am
Its a different approach indeed, maybe it's not serious enough
4th Nov 2007 11:36am
The approach might not be serious - but it is advertising the use of condoms!
13th Nov 2007 5:40pm
you seem to be good at cutting and pasting as the images have little boxes around them and if you look closely you can see words written on the red condoms.. which suggests they aint your work. i like the tagline but that tagline is always used for kids and eating healthily so this may encourage kids to eat condoms. which isnt a good look.. i realise that i am being slightly pedantic, but this poster is awful
5th Nov 2007 1:55pm
It has nothing to do with kids eating condoms - it was meant to be a funny tagline. Sorry if this makes you think of kids eating condoms...
13th Nov 2007 5:39pm
this is poor. Like others on this site it is just advertising their products....no message....no risk is on it.
7th Nov 2007 11:50am
I was trying to focus on a different approach with this poster - using condoms can be a joyful and funny, enjoyable experience.

nice idea needs more work though. dont like the font used and the durex sign might look better bigger and in a corner
8th Nov 2007 11:17am
I think this font is in harmony with the font used on the durex logo - that's why I used it. I didn't make the logo bigger because there is the box of condoms already, representing the brand.

i feel that for your strapline to work, you would need a line of fruit and then 1 flavoured condom in the lineup. just my opinion though
10th Nov 2007 11:45pm
That was my initial idea - I just wanted to make it look more colourful, less monotone.
13th Nov 2007 5:30pm
Really clever idea v funny!
12th Nov 2007 2:34pm
i like this design, its fun and it stands out a lot, i love the use of different coloured condoms to match the fruit, although it would be better if you took your own images of the fruit
12th Nov 2007 3:45pm
You are right, now I realised it would be better if I take my own pictures of fruits. Next time - I will!! Thanks for commenting.
13th Nov 2007 5:29pm
Mmmm, It makes me feel fruity ;)
16th Nov 2007 10:23am
needs work on the images. the boxes around the images need fixing and there seems to be some kind of writing on the red condom
23rd Nov 2007 10:12am
i didnt make me think twice
26th Nov 2007 11:20am
I like the idea but I think it would be wrong to say that it is one of 5-a-day because it is incorrect!
27th Nov 2007 10:40am
good idea but not well executed!
